Is there light at the end of the tunnel of addiction?

In-Dependence believes there is.

If you have become dependent on alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, painkillers, food or compulsive behaviours don't give up hope. There are ways out of addiction.

Addiction affects people physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.  The damage to you and those around you can be devastating.  But with the right help you can stop the destruction and gain back control over your life.

Is In-Dependence for me?

In-Dependence offers a tried and tested programme for addiction recovery.  We draw insights from many sources including our clients' own knowledge.  We create a safe space for you to work through difficult issues that may stand in the way of your recovery, such as trauma, loss or abuse.  Our therapy enables you to see the relationship between your life experiences, your addiction and you.

Is there a cure for addiction?

Yes and no.   Once you have developed an addiction, it is likely you will always react addictively to that substance, even after years of not using it.   It is unlikely you will ever learn to 'control' the substance while continuing to take it.   People learn to let go of their addictions and find new priorities in life.   Many people become 'abstinent' or addiction free for long periods or for life.
